Sketchbook = collecting concept, thoughts, searching for direction on any one given day as an artist.
I have countless sketchbooks, dating back to 1985, if not before that date. Reasons for keeping a sketchbook have changed for me over the years. So many lessons and never a regret for keeping them for almost 40 years, that is decades….words, visual notes, doodles, they all matter. Currently, acting as an artist, I use my sketchbooks as reference for paintings and key notes from classes and field sketching. It is a personal book, mostly for my eyes only. However, I hope to create postings on this forum to share my pages, my lessons, pertinent to ‘Sketchbook Lessons.’
